Confession: The Wombat song was originally about Snoop Dogg
Earlier this year, I created a song about a dream I had, where Snoop Dogg stole my hot tub with his pick up truck.
I released the song, but before I made an announcement on social media about it, I changed my mind and deleted it because I was concerned that Snoop Dogg might not be considered a family friendly figure - and I have such a family friendly brand.
So I changed "Snoop Dogg" to "wombat", and ended up re-recording all the vocals for the song as well. It was hours and hours of extra work because I'm a very amateur producer. 😂
Then I posted this video on Instagram, and turns out that MOMS LOVE SNOOP DOGG LOLS. Sooo maybe I made the wrong decision. But then lots of people said they think wombat was the move. Oh well! Here's my plan to try find a happy medium - I'll release the original Snoop Dogg version as a sped up song!
Hopefully that doesn't end up confusing a bunch of people. We will see. I feel like I'm always just making my next best guess when it comes to making creative decisions with my silly little songs and videos. 😂 Just doing my best to spread some lighthearted musical joy into the world!
