Supreme Garlic Bread is one of our favorite recipes from the upcoming Big Book of Bread (on shelves October 22). Now our Staff Editor Jessica Battilana is showing you how to make it the ultimate way! As she demonstrates, you need three things: ample butter, lots of garlic, and good bread (ideally that you've made yourself). Texture, too, is important — first, we bake the loaf, wrapped in foil, until the butter is melted and the bread is warmed through. Then we expose the garlic-buttered faces of each loaf to the heat of the broiler, so the bread browns and crisps.
