The Pokemon series has so many installments that all follow the same formula. Considering the repetitive nature of the series, it seems that one installment should be deemed the best by its fan base. Nope. Some believe that Pokemon Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby are the best, while others may consider Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 as the peak. Some want to believe that Pokemon Red and Blue are the only good installments, they are wrong. Each installment has its own strengths and weakness, but the change in design philosophy halfway through the series' life has created more controversy than any other game series combined. This change has lead to a lot of improvements in the Pokemon games, but it's also ruined some of the best parts of the games.
