Aladdin (90 min)
Synopsis: Scrappy street urchin Aladdin and his mischievous monkey, Abu, barely manage to stay one jump ahead of their many angry pursuers in the enchanted Arabian city of Agrabah. By chance, Aladdin meets Jasmine, daughter of Agrabah’s Sultan, when she dresses as a commoner and flees the palace to avoid her duty to select a prince to wed. He is immediately smitten. Meanwhile, the Sultan’s villainous advisor, Jafar, plots to take over Agrabah and tricks Aladdin into entering the mysterious Cave of Wonders, where he finds a magic lamp and releases its imprisoned Genie. Transformed by the Genie into Prince Ali, Aladdin shows Jasmine “A Whole New World” on a romantic Magic Carpet ride. But matters get complicated when Prince Ali’s true identity is exposed. Can Aladdin set things right before Jafar carries out his evil plot to take over the Sultan’s kingdom?
