Realistic Big-Box Retail IS Possible in Cities Skylines 2! | MC 34
The recently constructed interchange near the MBTA campus has made the lands along the river desirable for retail development, and the planned relocation of the cross-county highway is about a leave a site large enough for a big-box retail store as well as a strip mall. As a result, developers are already pouncing on the opportunity and lining up with plans.
In this episode, we'll exectue those plans! We'll build a big box retail store, strip mall, motels and hotels, and surround it all with a low density residential, suburban-style development. Before we can do that, we'll relocate the highway and call a mulligan on an old rail bridge.
Further, we'll make some changes for the good of the build at the end of the episode. This is a busy one... enjoy!
