One thing that immediately stood out was the price difference—$20 for just a small amount of polymer clay, compared to $30 for 50lbs of water clay! In this video, I'm trying out Sculpey 3, a very soft and easy-to-mold polymer clay, perfect for beginners. I'll share my first impressions and compare it to my experience with water clay. For my next sculpt, I plan to experiment with a harder polymer clay compound to see how it differs.
Polymer clay is unique in that it remains pliable until it's baked in an oven, making it great for detailed work that requires multiple sessions. Unlike water clay, which can dry out quickly, polymer clay offers more flexibility in timing. However, it does come with a higher price tag and a different feel during the sculpting process.
