Creating and calling functions can make our lives as developers so much easier. Functions will simplify our code, make it easier to work in teams, make debugging faster and easier, and of course allow us to work toward logical groupings of our code.
In this video we look at how to create and call simple functions within Python.
We also look at variable scope, and why that is so important, especially for functions.
The next two videos will focus on passing arguments into our functions and getting values back from our functions, but we must handle the basics first, that is why we focus on calling and creating a function at this point.
