In this video, I show you show to block facebook (or any website) on a mac or linux based operating system.

First you need to open terminal, and edit the `/etc/hosts` file with root permission `sudo`.

The text editor that I am using is vim.

`sudo vim /etc/hosts`

Then add the following lines to your terminal.
```
127.0.0.1 www.facebook.com
127.0.0.1 facebook.com
127.0.0.1 www.youtube.com
127.0.0.1 youtube.com
```
