Folks around the world might be horrified if they knew that our Govt has supported and promoted, "Shoot and Waste" aerial culling of well over 100,000 wild chital (Axis) deer in North Queensland, to the tune of millions of tax payer dollars. Not one cent was put towards alternative options like deer farming, game meat harvesting or recreational hunting, simply because their agenda is to see the general public disarmed and reliant on the big grocery stores. In our Chital series on McGhies Campfire, we will bring you the stories, the hunts, the tragedies and even a few triumphs, surrounding this amazing part of our Queensland history.
