STUDENT VAN CRASH | Ch3Thailand
On November the sixth, emergency services in Thailand’s Lampang attended the scene of a road incident involving a school van and more than twenty students. Witnesses said they heard a tire explode before the van, loaded with pre and primary school students, slammed into a roadside utility pole, resulting in more than ten children being injured. Three of the students and the driver remain in a serious condition. Rescuers rushed to get the injured to hospital. However, after checking a dash-cam, local Land Transport officials believe that forty one year old van driver Chamnan Jaipinta may have fallen asleep at the wheel, causing the accident. Further investigation is underway.
