In this tutorial, we restore the full context menu in Explorer for Windows 11, ensuring that all possible menu items are revealed via a single right click, in contrast to the default compact menu which hides a number of key options by default, including those arising from third-party applications.
In the absence of a setting to toggle this behaviour globally or on the basis of individual items, we are required to add keys to the Windows Registry using Regedit. Given that registry tweaking can potentially destabilise an entire setup, we begin by backing up the registry, and walk through the restoration of that backup, should it be needed.
With the backup secured, we then navigate to the relevant node in the registry, and insert the appropriately named and configured keys, using the information below, and reproduced at TechFixFlix.com. Once the keys are entered, we restart Explorer and verify that our changes have taken effect.
Finally, we also walk through the process of reversing the changes, in the event that we wish to revert to the compact menu style.
