Narcissism and Addiction Explained
Ever wonder if your partner is a Narcissist or an Addict? There are many overlapping causes, behaviors, and coping skills that both addicts and narcissists demonstrate. Kristin Snowden, MA, LMFT, CDWF is a licensed therapist and coach that specializes in helping individuals and couples in crisis after infidelity, emotional abuse, and/or uncovering addiction. She discusses the similarities she's seen in those with narcissistic traits and process/chemical addicts. She defines narcissism and addiction, provides the signs and symptoms of both. She also explains her theory on how both develop. Kristin further offers recovery plans for both addicts and narcissists, signs of their recovery, and warning signs that they are not changing. This is for anyone in relationship crisis exploring answers and a path to healing and recovery. Relationship crisis can be spurred from uncovering an unknown addiction, cheating/infidelity, porn use, and other forms of betrayal. There can be a lot of emotional or narcissistic abuse in relationships with narcissists or addicts. Its important to educate yourself. You don't have to go through this alone.
