What is Task Force Mythic?
Task Force Mythic is a Marine and ODST semi-realistic Halo Arma 3 unit mostly based in the United States. We started not too long ago and currently have 20+ members and growing. We ensure to make our operations as unique and best as possible.
What Is Our Mission?
Task Force Mythic was created by a group of friends who wanted to avoid the drama and posturing of the larger Arma units and wanted to create a space to enjoy the game at its core. We work tirelessly on ensuring that we all have an amazing experience on this game by creating diverse and new operations each week to avoid burnout that most people face when playing this game. This unit isn't only a group of friends, but a family. Even though that may be cliché we truly do care for one another, and we would like to increase our family we have here. Our rules are more relaxed, and we have a more experience-based approach to training. We try to avoid the tedious aspects that most units have inherent, and train individuals only when necessary.
What are some key things about Task Force Mythic?
Semi-realistic unit focused on fun more than a super serious environment. This however doesn't mean we don't take our planning and gameplay serious during missions.
We offer both the Insurrectionist and Covenant time period of the Halo Universe.
Our unit is made by Arma Veterans who have played the game for years and veterans of the Halo Mod itself.
Task Force Mythic has a rank and command structure in place to ensure our operations go smoothly.
Multiple leadership slots open to compete for.
We do weekly main operations and occasionally do fun operations.
We don't always just play Arma as we like to play other games to create a brotherhood within our unit outside of Arma.
Available Detachments?
Pantheon Company 1st Platoon "Valhalla"
Valhalla is our Marine and ODST Infantry detachment that focuses on dropping into hot AOs with Drop Pods, Paradropping, and quick pelican assaults. Valhalla is our mainline detachment and focuses on being able to be as efficient as possible in multiple areas such as: squad tactics, marksmanship, demolitions, and vehicle expert.
Griffin Squadron 1st Platoon "Valhalla" 1st Section "Phoenix"
Phoenix is the aviation detachment that focuses on dropping the hate on top of our enemies and transporting infantry from place to place. Phoenix provides Close Air Support (CAS), controlling the skies, and recon. Phoenix is our greatest asset in achieving victory on the battlefield and they are trained in radios, aircraft, and resupplies.
Operations Times?
1st Platoon Operation: 7pm est on Sundays
Fun Operations: Anytime, any day
Who Can Join Our Unit?
Must be 16 Years of Age or older
Must have a legal copy of ARMA 3
Must have a working headset
Must speak fluent English
Any or no experience in a Arma Unit
Must be able to attend two main operations in a month
