YouTube’s Community Guidelines outline what type of content is and isn’t allowed on YouTube. Starting today, creators will have the option of taking a specialized training course when they receive a Community Guidelines warning. Completion of the course will remove the warning from a creator’s channel — so long as they don’t violate the same policy for 90 days. And, while creators were previously given one warning throughout the lifetime of their channel, they’ll now get individual warnings depending on the specific policy they violate if they take the trainings. This means more opportunities to learn why their content may have crossed the line, and the ability to take multiple learning courses at the same time. We believe this update will help the vast majority of creators produce content that complies with our policies, and help keep YouTube a safe and responsible platform for everyone.
