Posting Goods Issue for Reservations created in the Project Systems (PS) module in SAP involves several steps, which are outlined below:
Launch the SAP GUI and log in to your SAP account.
Open the SAP Easy Access Menu and navigate to Logistics → Materials Management → Inventory Management → Reservation → Goods Issue.
In the Goods Issue screen, enter the Reservation number for which you want to post a goods issue. You can either enter the reservation number manually or use the F4 function key to search for it.
Once you have entered the reservation number, click on the Enter button to proceed.
The next screen will display the details of the reservation, including the material code, quantity, storage location, and other relevant information.
Check the details of the reservation to ensure that they are correct. If there are any errors, you can edit them by clicking on the relevant field and making the necessary changes.
Once you are satisfied with the details, click on the Post Goods Issue button to proceed.
In the next screen, enter the Posting Date and the Movement Type. The movement type is the key that determines the nature of the goods movement, such as Goods Issue for Consumption (261), Goods Issue for Order (261E), or Goods Issue for Stock Transfer (351).
Enter any other relevant information, such as the Storage Location, Batch Number, and Reason for Movement.
Check the details one final time to ensure that they are correct. Once you are satisfied, click on the Post button to complete the goods issue posting.
The system will display a message confirming that the goods issue has been successfully posted. Click on the Continue button to exit the transaction.
