On August 11th, 1947, the Pakistani flag's prototype was presented in the annual meeting of the Constituent Assembly. Later, the Assembly declared it as the official flag of Pakistan. Since then, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan has retained that Muslim flag as the national flag of Pakistan.
The national anthem of Pakistan also glorifies the greatness of the Pakistani flag as "پرچم ستارہ و ہلال، رہبر ترقی و کمال." (A flag with crescent and a star, the leader of progression and conquest). The design of the Pakistani flag is an inspiration of the flag of all India Muslim league as it's designed served as a model or base for the design of the Pakistani flag.
