In this video, we introduce the ideas of calculus, focusing (in the usual manner) on differential calculus, i.e., an introduction to derivatives. We introduce the basic ideas that make calculus useful and define the derivative using our understanding of limits. We then confirm that the new notion of "slope" given by derivatives coincides with that which we all are familiar with.
