Today we take a step back an answer one of the most frequent questions I'm asked: How do I pick my microphone setup for Twitch?!
Well the answer isn't as easy as you may think. There are 3 key areas you need to focus on when it comes to picking a mic. Those are budget, environment, and space requirements. All three factor into what you're going to purchase. Budget is simple. You really set this to keep yourself in line and dont overspend, because trust me, it's easy. Environment is a huge one. Focus on this area because here you will figure out what type of mic you'll need. Sit down in your stream space and listen to ambient noises around your house. If they are audibly loud then you'll likely need a dynamic mic. If you have a more controlled environment, you're golden and you can literally get just about anything you want. The next area is space. Here you'll need to analyze how much space you have to determine which interface, mixer, audio processing, etc you can purchase. Dont get something you wont be able to use. You'll end up getting frustrated because it gets in the way. Trust me, I've done this. All of these key areas are ones you'll need to consider when purchasing a microphone.
