Baby's First Highland Bowl Snowboarding (Aspen, CO)
A couple weeks ago I finally checked off a goal I've been eyeballing for the past three years: Hiking/boarding the Bowl at Aspen Highlands. The bowl has some of the steepest in-bounds pitches in the US and because you have to hike for it to 12.3K feet (about 800 feet of vertical without much oxygen in the atmosphere, but plenty of wind and single-digit temps), you can find powder stashes for days and days. This video is all from my one and only run, but now I've got a taste and can't wait for more.

I shot this with the GoPro Hero7 Black, 1080p60 Superview mode with stabilization on. The stabilization does a pretty amazing job, but it does crop 10% off of all the edges and I can't help but wish I had more of the foreground in the shot. May start moving toward 360 cameras for boarding for that very reason. We'll see...
