Factorio, having a train deposit to multiple stations
I never tried delivering to multiple stations. Krastorio makes it necessary. This video was an excuse to experiment.
Based on my experience, you need to make sure that
A) Always have a wait-condition at the mine.
I made the mistake of not having one. My train kept going to drop off stone but it had none, then it went back to the mine and immediately left to drop off stone.
B) Make sure the drop off-station has enough room to take a full train-load.
A fluid wagon holds 25k liquid. If your station has two tanks able to store 50k fluid, only enable the train station when it has below 25k.
Otherwise your train will sit and slowly unload.
C) Minimize the time spent loading and unloading.
Use as many stack inserters/loaders as you can.
