6’’ Lift Kit DIY Install Gone Wrong? My Biggest Mistakes & Lessons Learned
I’m coming clean about my DIY 6’’ lift kit install and all the mistakes I made along the way. If you’re thinking about tackling this project yourself, you won’t want to miss these lessons learned!
From installing spacers to avoid rubbing of the tie rod end on the inside of the wheel, to replacing a potentially broken half shaft with an upgraded one from the F-150 Tremor trucks, I’ve had my fair share of challenges. I also had to fix a broken integrated wheel end (IWE) that I broke during the install and replace ball joints that I had installed incorrectly.
It wasn’t all smooth sailing, but after some tweaking, my truck suspension is now working perfectly, and I’m super happy I did it myself. This video is intended to show you that, despite the bumps in the road, you can take on a project like this and come out on top.
