The GMC Sierra impresses with several standout features. First, the transmission provides a smoother and more responsive driving experience. The Bose 7-speaker system with Richbass® woofer is superior to the B&O Unleashed 18-speaker system in the F-150. GMC’s adaptive cruise control is much smoother compared to Ford’s, and the Sierra has fewer intrusive driver assistance features. The digital rearview mirror is a fantastic addition, and the interior quality, with extensive use of soft-touch materials, is top-notch. The door handles have locking mechanisms, and the truck auto-locks when you walk away. The Sierra also boasts higher resolution cameras available while driving, a useful heads-up display (HUD), and noticeably stronger air conditioning performance.
There are a few dislikes about the Sierra, such as the unintuitive shifter park button and the absence of a DPF regen gauge. The seats are not as comfortable as I’d like, and the requirement for Google data plans is a downside.
In comparison, the Ford F-150 does have some advantages. Ford’s 2kW and 7.2kW pro-power options are great for work sites, and the work surface in the F-150 is more practical. Initially, the F-150’s seats seem better, although I had issues with lumbar support.
That’s my comparison between the 2024 GMC Sierra and the 2021 Ford F-150 PowerBoost.
