Circus animation: She Climbs Higher
A blend of animation styles including stop-motion and rotoscoping. A large proportion of the aerial and circus community I meet have PhDs and/or work in STEM subjects. This video was made to explore some potential connections between the beautiful artforms and the logical, methodical, mathematical world of science.
I feel it is vital that we, as a society, nurture and encourage the uptake of STEM subjects by women and girls. This is, in part, my tribute to the women who have paved the way thus far, and the women that will take us further in the future.
