Netrebko and Hvorostovsky Live in Red Square for global cinema release

U-Live, in collaboration with Omniverse Vision, proudly announces the global cinema release of a live performance from Moscow's Red Square in which two of the biggest names in opera, Anna Netrebko (soprano) and Dmitri Hvorostovsky (baritone), join forces.

Appearing for the first time together in Red Square, Anna Netrebko and Dmitri Hvorostovsky performed for one night only in front of an audience of 7500 people. The exciting program includes popular arias and duets from some of the world's best loved operas, including Tosca, Eugene Onegin, and Il trovatore.

The two Russian singers are accompanied by conductor Constantine Orbelian, Russia's State Academic Symphony Orchestra "Evgeny Svetlanov" and a large chorus. Director Frank Hof, whose work includes the memorable Anna Netrebko, Plácido Domingo, and Rolando Villazón performance at Berlin's Waldbühne, faithfully captured every detail of the event with its stunning backdrop of Red Square, using 18 high definition cameras and 5.1 cinema surround sound.

Anna Netrebko is one of the world's most recognised and highly regarded opera singers who regularly headlines productions at all of the major international opera houses including the Metropolitan Opera, London's Royal Opera House, Milan's Teatro alla Scala, and Paris's Opéra Bastille. In 2007, she became the first classical musician to be named to the Time 100 list, the magazine's list of the most influential people in the world.

Internationally acclaimed Russian baritone Dmitri Hvorostovsky appears regularly on the world's greatest stages, including the Metropolitan Opera, the Royal Opera House, and the Vienna State Opera. He was the first opera singer to give a solo concert with orchestra and chorus on Red Square which was televised in 25 countries worldwide.
