World Down Syndrome Day
Fetal Medicine and Down Syndrome were synonyms for many years until fetal medicine saw an explosion of potential service with the advances in ultrasound and genetics. Down Syndrome Day is celebrated on the 21st of March each year to remind each one of us that Down Syndrome is about inclusion and parental options and not the termination of pregnancy and social ostracisation.
