Did you see it? A very bright meteor, often called a fireball, streaked across the sky over Florida early Wednesday morning.
The American Meteor Society logged more than 20 reports from people who said they saw the fireball. Reports came in from Zephyrhills, Tampa and St. Petersburg as well as farther south like Fort Myers, West Palm Beach and even Key West.
The society later said the fireball was actually possible space debris burning up as it re-entered Earth's atmosphere. The organization said it suspects it was from the CZ-3B R/B satellite launched from China in 2015.
