Everyone knows about this pool, but let us suggest you imagine what it looked like after 1986.
Let's say that several years have passed since the Chernobyl accident, you work somewhere in "Spetsatom" at the former Jupiter plant, or in the Department of dosimetric control in the SPTU. The working day is over, you can, of course, take a bus to your destination, but why, if you go nearby, and the weather allows it? You leave your workplace, it is already getting dark: November is close, and it freezes noticeably in the evening. The abandoned city of Pripyat is slowly overgrowing, but the empty houses are clearly visible; you have been working here for a long time, and you are used to the look of panel blocks, in which not a single-window is lit at this time of day. Life is divided into "home" and "duty", and during your duty, it is a normal picture. On Sportivna Street, an unexpectedly bright spot glows, in fact, your destination - the Azure swimming pool. Checkpoint, second floor, dressing room, shower, clear water in the bowl, light, warm... The trees and empty houses of the city of Pripyat peep into the multi-meter glazing of a cozy and serene building.
P.S. The Azure pool operated in Pripyat until 1997, serving the personnel of enterprises in the Chernobyl zone, some of which were also located in the buildings of Pripyat.
