a simple rhythmic test patch to learn my way around the mutable instruments marbles. still a ton to explore here… would like to delve into more subtle, less overtly rhythmic territory next.

the two sound sources are 2hp pluck (right channel) and mutable instruments rings (left channel), fed by the X1 and X3 outputs of marbles in coin toss mode. the Y output of the marbles is multed to modulate the rings' position control and the pluck's damp control.

the ability to lock rhythmic and pitch sequences using the deja vu control seems like an incredibly useful way to handle random values. in this video, i've locked both to a set of 16 values and am using the rhythmic bias control to produce different hocketing relationships between the voices.

output feeds an avalanche run.
