In 2008, The Universal Studios theme parks replaced Back to the Future: The Ride with The Simpsons Ride. The building is the same and the rides utilize a lot of the same technology. The motion-simulating vehicles have been replaced.
You may have heard the rumor that the Simpsons Ride at Universal Studios (Hollywood and Florida) contains exactly the same motion as it's predecessor. In theory, this would have been done to cut costs on reprogramming the motion. This side-by-side comparison shows that the duration of the ride is exactly the same. The do start and stop moving at the same time. However, the motion throughout the ride seems to be different. What do you think?
