How to Connect Portable Generator at Home | Generator for Home | Single phase Generator Connection
This circuit describes how to connect a generator to a single electrically powered home.
After the main electricity meter, the main supply is given to the home Distribution Board through 2pole Changeover Switch.
Generator supply is also connected to 2pole MCB and 2pole Changeover Switch.
In case of an emergency power outage, Changeover Switch can be activated to get electricity to the house through the generator.
*Care should be taken to use appliances in the home only up to the maximum current available through the generator.*
