Zakrisdalsverken, the secret munition factory 1941-92

The munition factory at Zakrisdal in Karlstad were built to replace the old factory, Marieberg at Kungsholmen, Stockholm. The purpuse to make it more secure against attacks and also to increase the ammunition production during WW2. The factory was open between 1941 to 1992 initially for producing percussion caps for the 6,5 and 8 mm rifle and machine guns and 9x19 mm pistol, but evolved into more high-tech munition during the cold war era.
