History of Yoga
I say this from a space of deep love for humanity. If we are going to call ourselves, Yoga teachers, we must know the history of the practice. Go ahead and fact check me. Understand why the practice of yoga became so white post world war 2. It was not a coincidence. If we do not work to actively create inclusive, anti-racist, & anti-capitalistic spaces in the yoga world, we continue to support divide and oppression. The current state of the United States is how reichs begin. Be very aware as you teach. Another branch of Yoga is about speaking the truth and acting from a loving place, so let’s be sure we are doing so.
