Review of LG's 97 Inch OLED Wireless TV at CES (2023)
LG announced the launch of its premium 97 Inch OLED Wireless TV in 2022 and they were able to give us a live demonstration of this behemoth of a TV in action here at CES in Las Vegas in 2023.
The 97 inch OLED screen takes up about just over 98% of the TV's front plane which in essence means that the bezels are ultra thin.
The color palette is quite extraordinary as well with over a billion different colors that can be shown on this beautiful screen. Speaking of screen quality, the horizontal and vertical viewing angles are 178 degrees, so that means a pretty large audience should be able to enjoy the onscreen entertainment without missing out on the action.
At a pixel per inch density of 45 PPI we are talking about a a TV with a large screen that can also show pictures, movies and videos with enhanced definition.
With a refresh rate of up to 120Hz high paced video games will also look terrific on this TV as well.
The 97 inch OLED wireless TV from LG also boasts a pretty good port configuration with the following available ports:
3 x USB 2.0
1 x RJ45 (Lan Port)
4 x HDMI 2.1 ports
1 x Cable/Antenna In (F-type female)
1 x S/PDIF
1 x RS232 (C)
1 x IR Out
From a speaker perspective, if one does not have the budget for a Dolby surround sound system, LG has included a set of 4 x 10 watt speakers to take care of the mid range and high end sound frequencies and has also integrated a set of 2 x 10 watt sub woofers.
The only downside to this TV is the price tag. Take a guess at what a TV like this costs in 2023? Enjoy!
