Poliigon has started creating fabric textures with Object ID maps. Object IDs add a more convincing look on your fabric, and they are really easy to create your self. In Arnold render and Cinema 4D (c4dtoa) you can connect these to the coat layer in standard surface (Arnold 5) and I really like the result that gives.
** Know that in Illustrator it's possible to use different tool for creating a black and white pattern, like the pattern maker (object/Pattern/make) **
I show how I used Object ID texture map to create a wool material from Poliigon on a Hiroshima Chair by Naoto Fukasawa.
