How I Write Rock Songs Using Ableton Live
So I thought I would take a bit of break from making Kontakt tutorials and talk about how I write rock music using Ableton Live. That's right, Ableton Live. You probably think of Live as being more about electronic music or EDM. You almost never hear about rock musicians using it.
And there's a reason for that, historically Live was based around the idea of using loops to build your tracks, and rock music is in thoery this thing that is based around the live performance of instruments and a DAW that has a great multi-take recording system is always going to win against a loop-based tool like Live.
But as any EDM producer knows, Live is actually an awesome songwriting tool.
