The story mode of Injustice was written by NetherRealm in collaboration with DC Comics, A deception by the Joker led Superman to kill his wife Lois Lane and the child he was carrying, as well as to raze Metropolis to the ground via an atomic bomb, upon Lois' death; in revenge, the kryptonian brutally killed the insane clown prince of crime in cold blood.
