Right now, Afro House is taking over the electronic music scene. Artists as Black Coffee, Keine Musik and Le Yora are pioneers of the afro house sound including groovy drums and percussions, analog sounding synths and loads of organic sounds. In this production tutorial we'll be deconstructing their afro house style in FL Studio.
So, in this FL Studio tutorial we're gonna dive into the production of afro house. We'll be making an original afro house track from scratch. We'll be starting off with manipulating the vocal, so it fits more into the afro house vibe. Then, we're gonna write the bass under the vocal. We'll be using a Serum Preset from the sample pack Motion 3 for it. Then, we're gonna build the afro house drums around the bass and vocal. First we'll lay the kick, clap and hat. Then spice it up with some percussion. To finish off the drums we'll be adding some percussion loops on top of the drums.
Then it's time to add in the rolling bass with another serum preset together with the kick. Then it's time to add in the house drums, including the groovy hats, top loop and other tech house drums. We'll be finishing it off with some ambiences and FX.
So, in this FL Studio tutorial we'll be making a John Summit Style track like he did in Shiver from scratch. The FLP is available at my Patreon.
