In this video, we dive into the concept of Outline Agreements in SAP SD, a crucial element for managing long-term purchase agreements with customers. Outline agreements streamline the sales process by predefining the terms for the supply of goods or services over a specific period.
We'll explore the two main types of outline agreements:
1. Contracts: These are agreements that specify either the total quantity (Quantity Contract) or the total value (Value Contract) of goods/services to be supplied over a set period.
Example: A contract with a car manufacturer to deliver 10,000 tires over the course of a year.
2. Scheduling Agreements: These agreements go one step further by predefining delivery schedules, ensuring timely deliveries based on pre-planned dates and quantities.
Example: A tire supplier delivering weekly shipments to a car manufacturer under a scheduling agreement.
