In this video I will show you how to read out the temperature of a BMP280 Temperature and Pressure Sensor by using I²C and Python on a raspberry pi.
You can find my slides here:

Of course there are libraries out there (especially for Python) which supports the BMP280 sensor, but it is good to know, how they works under the hood.
Agenda:
0:00 Introduction
1:29 How to connect the sensor?
4:49 What's behind the memory map?
14:00 Writing a simple Python script to read the temperature
22:42 Demonstration of the script
23:34 What's about the pressure?
