Taurus 22TUC: Is it better than the PT-22?
The newest pistol from Taurus, the 22TUC, on the surface, looks like a new take on the PT-22. But is it really? Sure, they share similar designs and mags, but is it just a new PT-22? In the short answer, yes, but no. This is a polymer framed pistol with no manual safety and very angular designs. It does share mag capabilities with the PT-22 and tip up barrel design, but even those two things are designed differently. This pistol has a worse trigger in my opinion, a worse overall design but a more functional slide. I do like the ergonomics on the TUC but I like the PT-22 a bit better. I'm curious how they shoot back to back. Let me know in the comments if you have shot one.
