How to upload thumbnail for YouTube Shorts FIX. My fix will enable you to still upload a custom thumbnail on your YouTube short but you have to do this via your video editor but it's still a good workaround. I understand why YouTube have made these changes to uploading custom thumbnails as I guess they want to reduce clickbait videos but in my experience the autogenerated thumbnails it's been generating for my shorts haven't been that good, hence the reason for this workaround video.
