In a groundbreaking discovery, astronomers have identified HD 63433d, an Earth-sized planet closer and younger than any other known. This scorching world orbits a sun-like star, completing its orbit every 4.2 days. Tidally locked, one side reaches 2,300 degrees Fahrenheit with potential lava flow, while the other remains in perpetual darkness. HD 63433, part of Ursa Major, is about 400 million years old and 73 light years away. Found through NASA's TESS satellite and the THYME project, this unique system offers a close-up view for further study, promising insights into planet evolution.
