A 12-year-old English springer spaniel named Luke continues to recuperate well at his home in Orange City, Florida, after spending 30 days in the UF Small Animal Hospital's intensive care unit undergoing treatment for botulism. Luke was discharged from the hospital on March 23. He is believed to have contracted the potentially deadly toxin by eating part of an animal carcass.
