Let me show you a quick, simple way to enable earthquake and other emergency alerts on your iPhone.
To get started, first find and open the Settings app. Inside Settings, find and tap on Notifications. Now, scroll down to the end until you see the Government Alerts options. You'll find Amber Alerts, Emergency Alerts, Public Safety Alerts, and Test Alerts.
If these options are turned off, we need to turn them on. Since we're looking for weather alerts like earthquakes or major storms, tap on Emergency Alerts. Inside this menu, turn on all of these features. Then, head back and turn on Public Safety Alerts as well.
Once you've done that, your alerts will be set up, and you can close the Settings app.
And that's how you turn on emergency alerts for things like earthquakes and major storm events.
