This first look at the Sole F89 Treadmill shares our insight into what to expect from this new premium model from Sole. Although we don’t have the F89 in for testing yet, we have been using Sole Treadmills for years and have spent a lot of time on the F85, which is the model down from this one.
We anticipate that the F89 will perform similarly to the F85, however, we’re assuming that the overall construction will be a step up. We’ve become accustomed to the high quality that Sole places into each of their treadmills and at a premium price point, the Sole F89 should definitely not disappoint.
Its motor, large, foldable deck, and incline and decline capabilities should make this a well-powered machine that can handle a lot of training. We also expect it to be quiet, especially when adjusting the grade of the deck.
Sole Treadmills have firm deck cushioning. We assume the F89 has firm cushioning as well, so those looking to simulate the experience of road running should find a lot of value in the Sole F89.
This treadmill has the largest touch screen out of all of Sole’s treadmills. It is 21.5”, which is my favorite size for premium fitness equipment. Sole has kept the same console layout which is functional and easy to use on the F89. A recent software update now offers integrated trainer-led workout videos on the screen to stream directly from the F89, along with standard onboard workout programs, and 12 preloaded streaming apps like Netflix.
We love the upgrades that the F89 has to offer and all of the free content that doesn’t require an additional subscription fee to use. We expect this high-end treadmill to live up to our expectations and recommend checking it out if you’re looking for a premium folding treadmill with included training and streaming content.
