Wacom Tips and Tricks: Customizing Pen buttons
In a previous video I showed you how you can physically customized the Wacom pens so in this video I want to share how I customize the buttons and functionality of the pens with the different software I use to create my work.
I’m also going to cover how you can customize different pens (in case you have older pens from other devices) with different shortcuts so you can have access to various features and tools depending on the stage of the process you are in.
In my case I have a couple of Wacom Pens and I mapped different tools to the buttons so I can bring them up when I’m working. I use one of those pens when I’m starting up with a new project so the tools I bring up with the buttons are related to masking and selection that I use all the time… later down the track when I’m polishing a concept, I switch to a different pen that allows me to bring in other tools more relevant to the process of polishing.
Customizing buttons is cool but you can take this idea to the next level by creating your own radial menus. Check out the next video in this series where I’ll show you how to do that!
