After Effects Basics: Reveal Mask Part 1
G = pen tool
While in pen tool, hold down CMD to switch to selection tool
Draw a mask around shapes envisioning quadrants
When you close a path, immediately hit M to show Mask Path
set a keyframe
animate the mask backwards (so it reveals when you play forward)
M = show Mask Path attribute
When you're in mask mode mask points will be square
When you're in layer mode mask points will be small circular dots
CMD T = free transform (only works when mask points are square)
