It was brought to my attention, that this video has an error in it. The 2 doors that are leaving the office suite needs to be separated by the required distance diagonally across the longest part of the suite. 1/3 for sprinkle buildings and 1/2 for non-sprinkled. Or they need to be on either side of the exit stair door. I imply that, but I don't say it.
Deadend and Common Path of Travel can be confusing. Hope this video can help with some of its understanding. Most of the time we have a choice of two ways to get out of a SPACE, and that is your common path of travel. From the most remote point in the building or space to a decision point to go to exit "A" or exit "B" to get out of the space, that is your decision point/common path of travel.
Keep in mind, this does not apply to hospitals, hospitals have suites and intervening rooms which is actually more restrictive.
