How to Run HTML File on Visual Studio Code || Run Your HTML Website Live in Browser
To run an HTML file in Visual Studio Code, you can follow these steps:
1. Install the "Live Server" extension: Open Visual Studio Code, go to the Extensions view by clicking on the square icon on the left sidebar or by pressing Ctrl+Shift+X. Search for "Live Server" in the extensions marketplace and install it.
2. Open your HTML file: Open the HTML file you want to run in Visual Studio Code. You can either click on "File" in the menu and select "Open File," or use the shortcut Ctrl+O to browse and open the HTML file.
3. Start the Live Server: Once you have the HTML file open, right-click anywhere within the HTML code editor, and from the context menu, select "Open with Live Server." Alternatively, you can use the shortcut Alt+L followed by Alt+O. This will start a local development server and open your HTML file in a web browser.
4. View your HTML file: The Live Server extension will automatically open your HTML file in a web browser, and any changes you make to the HTML code will be immediately reflected in the browser. You can interact with and test your HTML page as you would normally in a web browser.
That's it! You can now run and test your HTML file in Visual Studio Code using the Live Server extension. Remember that the Live Server only provides a local development server environment and is not suitable for hosting your website online.
