Work done on an object by a force is equal to the displacement an object is moved multiplied by the component of force parallel to the displacement. Work is a foundational concept for the energy unit and you will not fully understand the equations for energy until you understand the concept of work. In this video I define work and give several examples of using it in problem solving.
